Cayman Art Week announces new dates for CAW26 from 26-31 May 2026

Mark your calendars for one of the buzziest weeks of the year as Cayman Art Week returns for a sixth celebration of local art from Tuesday 26 to Sunday 31 May 2026.

Cayman Art Week will once again present a vibrant programme of art exhibitions and events at galleries, studios and pop-up locations showcasing the full breadth of contemporary artistic talent, from paintings and sculptures to multi-media installation and artistic collaborations.

Venues wishing to participate in CAW26 are invited to contact the Cayman Art Week team to register their interest for inclusion in this year’s programme which runs across all three islands, including the popular guided bus tours which have become a staple of the cultural calendar. Artists seeking spaces to exhibit their work are encouraged to visit the Cayman Art Week website for ideas and contact details of potential venues or partners.

“Cayman Art Week has grown each year, reflecting the growing maturity and vibrancy of the art scene in Cayman,” said Natalie Urquhart, CAW founder and director who first came up with the idea for an art week to support the art community struggling through lockdowns during the pandemic. “Cayman Art Week is both a fun way to explore and engage with local art, and a serious opportunity for both seasoned and new art collectors and buyers to connect with artists and gallerists.”

There is no cost for artists or venues to participate in Cayman Art Week, and all events are free to attend, thanks to ongoing support from CAW patron Mrs Susan A. Olde OBE, llead partners, the Ministry of Planning, Lands, Agriculture, Housing & Infrastructure with the George Town Revitalisation Initiative  and the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and other supporters. Participants benefit from marketing reach and promotion on Cayman Art Week channels not just in the run-up to the event, but year-round on the Cayman Art Week website which has become a valuable resource for anyone interested in Cayman’s art scene.

“Cayman Art Week is run by a small committee, many of us volunteers,” said Urquhart. “As CAW continues to grow, we would like to expand the organisation to others in the art industry to help us shape the future direction of CAW and make sure it continues to have maximum impact for everyone in the arts community.”

Cayman Art Week will run from Tuesday 26 to Sunday 31 May closing out a month of cultural and heritage events running throughout Heritage Month in May.

The full line-up of the CAW26 programme will be announced in the coming months. For all the latest information, visit caymanartweek.com or follow Cayman Art Week on social media.
